One of the giants of jazz, not mentioned yet (I think) was Thelonious Monk, just amazingly cool and weird. His best known composition is "Round Midnight", but he has lots of other good stuff, both originals and standards. Here is a live set in pretty good quality on YouTube:

Oh, and apparently the whole documentary "Straight, No Chaser" about Monk (produced by Clint Eastwood) is on YouTube, too:

Essential watching/listening for all jazz fans.

Curious, does anybody have "Little Broken Hearts" by Noah Jones?
I have her other albums

I do not like Jazz music, and I don't like it on behalf of you, the common stupid person.

I first saw this posted by my jazz musician friends.   The other thing they posted was this little bit of Tap....

I was already listening to spinal tap when I saw this post.
I disavow anyone in the movement involved in any illegal, unethical, sexist, or racist behavior. However, I don't have the energy or time to investigate each person and case, and a lack of individual disavowals for each incident should not be construed as condoning such behavior.
