Always Moving Forward: The Discussion Thread

So... now that you've read this, what do you think?
I expect to pass through this world but once;
any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now;
let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

Nice letter, and let me say I think very gracious in that any let down in objectivity was so slight as to go without mention.

Extremely diplomatic and well-written. It's an excellent apology for the transgressions of and over which the forum has been vaguely accused and criticized.

Very well articulated. I'm not sure there is much I could add for how to move forward? I like and agree with having a small mod team and think most the time you all do a good job. Its unpredictable when a flame war will start and over what. If you ever need more mod's I offer my services and look forward to ruling with an iron fist and crushing those who oppose us. j/k

Another one is for the mods to be less tolerant of sexual/racial/etc. harassment on the board.
Does this mean no more of those crazy rants by Chelovek?

But will it be good enough for Stephenie Zvyan?

a) Probably not.
b) But she'll probably never see it.
c) I'm not sure it was written for her, or for her approval.

Otherwise, I dig it very much.

As usual, I'm clueless. I didn't know it had gotten that bad.

I've never heard of Stephenie Zyvan.

I'm quite pleased that Stephanie Zvan took the time to read our announcement. As for Natalie Reed - I'm not quite sure what she wants from us. If only she could express her wishes to us. Something more constructive would be ever so nice.

I like Natalie but I think at this point she's probably too far gone for you guys to reach. While not sharing her vitriol (which is unfair because I am not cisgendered and so wasn't one of those people trashed) the whole deal around her leaving and then coming back and leaving again was handled really poorly. Beleth has apologized for it but really I think the only thing that could be done to undo all that is to literally erase it from the universe. I just hope people learn from the incident and make better decisions the next time something like this happens.
