For most of Oz today you could only use the middle scale. The midday temps were to the right of both the others.

Some parts were mid 40s (113°F) (318K)

I'd say the Kelvin part of the graphic conveys that fairly well, since for everyday purposes there's not much practical difference between 100K and 100R.

That's sciencey - but shows Neptune and Pluto at the same distance from the sun - which was true for a few years about 20 years ago.  Also it's in 2D and sort of implies a solar system that is flatter than it really is... which isn't much of a stretch.
