The first 2 seasons of the US version of the killing were pretty damn good too.  Haven't seen the Danish version but high have I expectations.

I'm pretty bored with the Americans and lost interest in Homeland in the second season.  It just got too crazy.

edit because I'm bad at words.

someone said season 4 was the best so far. I was pretty indifferent to it.

I really liked S4 of Homeland. So glad Brody ain't there. I was so looking forward to Quinn putting a bullet in that asshole's head.

I found alot of the US Killing season 1 quite boring. I found myself skipping alot of the family and political drama.
Cant wait for this season of the Americans after how the last one ended.
Season 4 of Homeland was alot like True Detective for me, started slow but I stuck with it because people recommended. Got really good in the middle and built up towards a really flat ending.

On a completely different tack, Brooklyn Nine Nine has really begun to come into its own this season.

It's REALLY beginning to remind me of Parks and Rec in its prime (which, speaking of which, P&R starts its final season tomorrow). That makes Captain Holt, depicted above, and played by Andre Braugher, the Ron Swanson of the show.

I love Brooklyn Nine Nine.

I can't even.  And I have tried - too many times for my own health.

I've tried to watch this a few times. It strikes me as Community but in a police station. Didn't ever catch on to Community. Now, Barney Miller. There was a police station sitcom.

The Knick - I am a sucker for period pieces, and Clive Owen is incredible. The 1901 medical tech is fascinating, too.
The Returned (Les Revenants) - French fantasy series based on the film of the same name from 2004 about the effects on a small town when the previously deceased begin showing up, unaware that they've passed. This is IMHO among the best television series of the past decade.
In The Flesh - Post-zombie apocalypse drama set in a world where the undead can be reformed by medication into 'Partially Deceased Persons' and re-integrated into society. There are two series and only nine episodes in total, so it's not a huge investment, but so worth it.
Broadchurch - David Tennant is a harried DI set to find the killer of a boy in a small seaside town. Less about the cop stuff and more about the effect of the murder on the small, tight-knit community, I binged the first season in a couple of days. It was remade in the US as Gracepoint, but for the love of god avoid that and go to the UK original.

I loved how Homeland ended tastefully after one season.
Every soup ladled to the hungry, every blanket draped over the cold signifies, in the final sense, a theft from my gigantic paycheck.

The Flash is the best live action superhero TV show in my recent memory.

Thats a perfect description of the show.
Man I want to marry every girl in it SO hard.

Im really enjoying Flash but I kind of feel like Arrow is a bit better. And somehow Agents of SHIELD has gained alot of ground!
