"It can't end like this. Tell them I said something." - Pancho Villa's last words (1923).

It's been a weird weekend

I was thinking I might be the only DBT fan here...and that's a really old son (from 1999).  Their newest album has this song on it about BLM.

Someone who doesn't like the DBTs is someone who hasn't heard them yet.

Or is Morvis.

I survived 30 seconds of that country music BS.
Had to bleach it out of my mind with this:

Murphy's Law: Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
Morvis' Law: Anything that does go wrong is my fault.

Now I'm a couple glasses of bourbon into the evening.  MORE DBT!!.  Well, kinda.  This was originally released when Isbell was in DBT.

This is the track Isbell finished his show on when I saw him last month.  His guitar playing has gotten better since then.

Maybe it's because the wife is at work tonight (the town is snowed in and she's a nurse) so I'm alone, or it could be the whiskey.  But how can you not love this shit...

Saw my friend perform this song of his last Sunday night. It's been on my mind ever since.

Forgot how fun this song was:

Murphy's Law: Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
Morvis' Law: Anything that does go wrong is my fault.

I like Gwen Stefani a whole lot more before her solo career.

Nice tune, and 'Like a SA80, my baby saved me/then played me, and jammed in the sand' is a brilliant line. (It's a family of assault rifles, one of 'em the standard weapon of the British armed forces, which became known for their unfortunate tendency to get jammed, especially in desert conditions.)

Checked my DVR and last night's episode of Austin City Limits was RTJ.  Didn't expect it at all.  Being that it was not live, it was edited for TV.  The censors must have carpel tunnel.  Looks like it is on Youtube.
