Heart activity increases by 30 to 50 percent during pregnancy, so if your wrist-read is high, consult your doctor.  Fit-bit-baby!

MOD'S NOTE: Y'all gonna be Maaaaad!

As i said, Therefore, every time you jog you are pregnant.
I think that the CWS's intention is to say that if your heart rate is consistently above your regular resting heart rate, then pregnancy might be an explanation. If your normal resting heart rate is 70bpm, and one day you notice that for the last three weeks it's been consistently measuring 86, and you are female and have been engaging in unbarriered sexual activity, then you might be pregnant.

But it was certainly explained extremely poorly.

How does the smart watch know you are female?

It doesn't. But presumably you do.

Oh, my FitBit is registering a somewhat elevated heart rate. OMG does this mean that I'm actually female?

*checks*

Okay, still male. Whew!

What if your smart watch impregnated you? That can explain the elevated heart rate.

During the 17th Century, fashionable and educated Europeans used toothpicks made from a wide variety of materials, including jeweled metal, simple wooden sticks, and porcupine quills.  Pick of the 'literate'!

MOD'S NOTE: I am not sure what that 'joke' even means.

The rash or blisters that result from exposure to poison ivy, oak, or sumac do not spread beyond initial contact, and once a rash appears, it is not contagious.

MOD'S NOTE: I am not sure what that 'joke' even means.
I think it's supposed to be a play on "Pick of the litter" meaning the best puppy of all the puppies in the litter. The most privileged person gets the pick of the litter, and the runt is left with the runt.

I get that part.  But I do not see why that phrase has any kind of double meaning.  Why literate?  Seems tenuous to me.

Literate because of the fashionable and educated.
