SGU Fans at the March for Science! Photos & Commentaries
« on: February 10, 2017, 11:21:07 AM »
The purpose of this thread is to create a meeting point for all the SGU fans and members of this forum who will participate on the March for Science, on April 22nd. I'm still verifying it, but as far as I was able to verify, this is the Largest Science Manifestation in the entire history of humanity. Never before so many scientists and science enthusiasts came together to fight against pseudoscience.

How Can I Help?

You can help by giving financial support, either by donation or by purchasing T-shirts on the official Website:  ( http://store.marchforscience.com/ ). I've already bought 2 shirts. The money goes directly to the organization of the event.
You can help by spreading awareness. Liking the official Facebook Page, and sharing the most relevant posts. https://www.facebook.com/marchforscience/
And of course... You can help by participating on the Washington walk, or in any of the many satellite walks around the world!

Right now I'm trying to solve my logistics problem to try to get to Washington... Who else here is going? And if you are going, which city did you chose?

If I was American or in the USA, I'd join. I wish you the best of luck!

I live in Northern Virginia, a 30-40 min train ride from the National Mall.

Absolutely going.

If anyone needs any tips or needs questions answered regarding getting around the area, feel free to ask.

Well.  There it is.

If there is anybody coming up from the Tidewater area, let me know?

I've just invited my entire extended family out to the event in Toronto, with a spring BBQ at our place afterwards. I figure I'll get more of them out by making it about the family, rather than just the science side of things.

I'll be at the DC event.

Hopefully CFI / WASH or one of the other DC groups will do something fun.

I Wonder... are there any science celebrities who are going to be at the March in DC? Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Bill Nye, Adam Savage... etc?

The family and I might go to the DC March, but if not able to do that we'll be at one in NYC.

In your opinion what are the top science attractions in New York and Washington?
