I came across this and it made me chuckle-

Downloaded but haven't listened to the Musk interview. Wonder if this is indeed the richest person Rogan has ever interviewed. I gather, with one exception, you want to be on the Rogan podcast you have to come to him. Sit in his studio. Not sure I really care to hear what Musk says these days. He's really jumped into the deep end.

Never listened to his podcast prior to this one.  Hoping to hear some hints of Tesla's future.  At the very least, I learned Model X's can dance to Trans Siberian Orchestra.

Wow that Musk interview was weird. And I didn't even listen to it. Probably the first time in history a single podcast has reduce the networth of several people by millions of dollars.

While knowing he has a military contract.

And which country he lives in.

And that his company fires employees for doing the same.

And in the midst of a PR shitstorm coming at him from every direction withnagative stories about his sense of entitlement and narcissism.

But yeah....how could he have seen this coming?

The amazing thing about Silicon Valley is that even when they're being over the top and silly, they're dead on.

Indeed. Having been through the dot com start up era and now in another dot com a couple years away from an IPO, SV never fails to speak to my life.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through the Tyson interview. I'm enjoying it.

The Rogan interview is a good place to find Tyson bull shitting on topics he knows little about. Here's some stuff from Rogan 919:

Quote
I don't know how many people know this, but often it's mindblowing when you learn, that some infinities are bigger than others. [...] The number of counting numbers...so 1, 2, 3, up to infinity...the numbers you would use to count things, that's infinite. The number of irrational numbers...so the numbers you cannot represent as a fraction, okay, there are more of those than there are counting numbers, by far. So these are orders of infinity. Then there are more transcendental numbers than there are irrational numbers. So that's a number you'll never find as a solution to an algebraic equation. So pi is a transcendental number. e is a transcendental number. These are magic numbers that show up in mathematics. And it turns out there's an even bigger infinity of those than there is of these other two classes of numbers. And they use the Hebrew letter aleph in ranking. So it's aleph-1, aleph-2, aleph-3, aleph-4. I think there are five levels of infinity.

The set of transcendentals is a subset of the set of irrationals. They used to teach that in high school. And there's a lot more than 5 cardinalities.

Rogan had Shermer on again the other day. The only clip I've seen or heard is their discussion on JFK. Guess who still thinks it was a conspiracy...
