I’m not sure what the hell I did to my back, but Tuesday I had horrible spasms in my middle back — higher than my usual pain.  It started just before bed Monday night and was so bad by the next morning that I had trouble getting out of bed. Made it through the class day, but bailed on drama after school (I’m the tech director).  Flexeril didn’t touch it for the first 24 hours, but now it seems to be helping some.  It’s much better than it was, and I was able to stretch without severe pain by last night.  But it’s strange since I don’t remember lifting anything unusual.

I have occasionally set off very severe back pain by some small movement of my back that didn’t seem like it should have been capable of causing any harm. It seems like sometimes the cause of aches and pains as we get older are elusive. I hope you get back to normal soon.

I'm amazed at how easy back "injury" and other maladies have become as I've aged.  I pulled something in my back by going from a sitting to a prone position in bed.  I was sore for over a week.

Lucky you! My first was when I was 14.

Colleague of mine got an e-coli infection from a business trip in Japan last week.

Also I saw this:
Quote
Do not use or eat Baker’s Corner All Purpose Flour. This flour has been recalled because it may be contaminated with E. coli. Return it to the store or throw it away. Learn more about infections linked to recalled flour.

Just reading about this shit makes me queasy.

Strep throat and cellulitis of the buttock diagnosed Thursday, treated with Augmentin.  Morton’s bursitis of the third and fourth metatarsal diagnosed today.  Today’s treatment was a cortisone shot with a two-inch long needle down through the foot.
