"Somebody" bought me an e-machine once upon a time. It had a seven-day warranty period.

I have had a lot of computers but never an eMachine.
That one made a good boat anchor.

The generation of processor shown in that picture never were great performers

Desert Fox: Weren’t they just PIII’s with half the L2 cache?  I know the first Celerons were cacheless and performed absolutely horribly, but I thought by the clock speed range of this PC they were actually a little too successful, in that they were cannibalizing PIII sales.

I just know that my experiences with early Celerons was bad. Don't know the nuts and bolts.
The funny thing is that my Netbook is a Celeron. Better choice than an Atom at least.

These days for most users who do not game pretty much any PC will do.

I wanted a netbook that could run 1080p video even if the display cannot display at 1080p.

In addition, the people at Intel decided not to support older Atom processors with Win 10 although even with Windows 7, it could not handle 1080p video.

I game mainly for the purpose of justifying my irrational desire to buy a giant powerhouse of a desktop computer with a massive GPU and a shitload of ram. I rarely notice any change in my day-to-day experience after I upgrade.

This is a joke but if OkCupid or Tinder integration was an option, I would turn it on:

Is that some kind of peeping tom thing?
