I loved it when I was 6-9 years old, maybe just because it was Spock, but it was really terrible in retrospect.

"Amazon Women on the Moon" had a spoof of "In Search Of" asking if Jack the Ripper was really Nessie.

Wasn't "Bullshit or Not?" something like that anyway.

I loved In Search Of as a kid, I'm not sure if it made more or less skeptical.  It was pretty uncritical but learning how stupid some of the "mysteries they covered are may have made me more skeptical.

That's the name of the faux show. I was going to dig out the video after lunch. Now I have more time for scotch. :salute:

I loved this show as a kid, too.  But the bloom is off the rose.

"You are there!"
"The Twentieth Century!"
"Victory at Sea"

That last one got me hooked.

I remember the one about the Amityville Horror, and there was this a scene with a doll who's eyes opened,  glowing red. Totally gave me a nightmare that woke my parents up that night.

Then again, it might have been Leonard Nimoy wearing a turtleneck with a blazer. It was a long time ago.

Didn't Carl Sagan do that in Cosmos as well?
Does Cosmos give you nightmares too?  :D

You know what? I haven't seen the Sagan version. I have the whole thing downloaded and will probably start it this weekend, but somehow I missed it growing up. Maybe it just wasn't on the channels we got in Canada at the time, but I have no memory of it from the 80's. Actually, I don't have a whole lot of memory of the latter part of the 80's in general, but that's another story.....

OK, this is watchable, for a laugh, but not the laugh you expect.

Seriously. History Channel, Friday night.

And if Zachary Quinto writes an autobiography it should be titled "I am Not Leonard"

and Donald Trump is President of the United States.

I'm not a doctor, I'm just a guy who has done a ton of research into diet and nutrition.
