I like TD's idea also, and nominate him to run this game for 2019.  Hell, we might only need to replace 3 names for the new list.

Doesn't the winner run the next year's game?

I like Brilligtove's alternate suggestion for scoring.

Thanks. :)

An alternative is to choose a list of N (from a list or at each player's discretion) and give everyone N! points to allocate to at least N/2 celebs, with a Max weight of Nx3 for any one person.

Sounds complex, but it's not too bad.

In this game N=50, so we would have 1225 points to spread among a minimum of 25 celebs. No one celeb could have more than 150 points assigned.

I chose my list based on age alone (not recommended!) in the current game. If we had a weighted system I might have assigned 150 to McCain given his health, but only 10 to Bush.

Nope, it's all volunteer.
Amend and resubmit.

It is almost time to start thinking about next year's game.
I'm ok to run it if no-one else wants to volunteer.

I was thinking we'd keep the same list of 50 and just replace the 4 dead celebs.
With all 50 ranked 1 to 50 (most likely to die at 1, to least likely at 50) as we did this year.

A slight modification to brilligtove's scoring suggestion, Scoring would be 51-R (where R = where you ranked that person)
Top of your list would be worth 50 points. The bottom person would be worth 1 point.

The 4 names I was thinking of adding unless anyone objects were:
Olivia de Havilland
Betty White
Harry Belafonte
Mel Brooks

If no-one else volunteers or there are no objections to the 4 celebrity additions, I will create a 2019 thread next weekend to start the game.
