I give negative shits about Pokemon.

This statement is so filled with ambiguity it should be made of boxed cat.
evidence trumps experience | performance over perfection | responsibility – authority = scapegoat | emotions motivate; data doesn't

If it's a competent buddy cop flick which competently uses the pokemon for absurdist humor, that'd really work for me.

The tone of that trailer.... not feeling it.

It is not working at all for me either. The prosthetics are weird, the lighting is weird and the tone is way off.

I am missing Del Toro and Perlman and I have no idea why we need this at all.

I was hoping they would finally go with the tone of the comic - that slightly gothic, slightly Lovecraftian, immersed in mythology vibe. Instead they seem to be chasing the crowd that loves the tone of the more jovial Marvel films. Which, I get. But it's not what I wanted from a Hellboy reboot.

I do like that they're including deeper cuts of the BPRD, like Daimo and Lobster Johnson. If they go with an earnest portrayal of Lobster Johnson they might just get me to at least give it a viewing in the theater.

"The Many Saints of Newark"

Upcoming Sopranos prequel movie on HBO. Tony Soprano will be played by James Gandolfinis son Michael.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/23/entertainment/michael-gandolfini-james-sopranos/index.html

Quote
"It's a profound honor to continue my dad's legacy while stepping into the shoes of a young Tony Soprano," Michael Gandolfini, 19, said in a statement to Deadline. "I'm thrilled that I'm going to have the opportunity to work with David Chase and the incredible company of talent he has assembled for 'The Many Saints of Newark.'

Personally I cant wait to find out who gets to play Paulie "Walnuts" Gualtieri.

I'm betting we will get to see the legendary Poker game heist that Jackie and Tony pulled off in order to get made (while Ralphie sits home in bed with the flu.)

Also the situation where the other Tony gets hauled off to jail alone while Soprano is saved by one of his first panic attacks but that may have happened at a later period.

Shaft!

This was a fun film I worked on last year. If they follow the plan I will be singing the opening dialog for the Shaft song in front of the camera during the credits (the crew took turns singing different parts) Or it ends up as a special feature or possibly not included at all, you never know.  The BTS producer seemed to like me and also shot a short segment where I describe my job. She caught me off guard and I don't think it turned out good nor was I doing anything that interesting by my jobs standards. It would make me happy if they just grab a sound bite or two rather than show the whole thing.
