I find it quite annoying when people who want me to communicate with them refuse to use an app that doesnt cost me money to text them or have to open up gmail.

I can understand not wanting to support facebook but there are loads of other options.
Many women I know use kik as a buffer between tinder and giving out their phone number for example. Once you block someone on it, they have no other way to contact you while a person with your phone number can find quite a few ways to get information on you.
I dont believe in being paranoid, but most people think basic security isnt relevant to them until its too late.
