Podcasts becoming TV shows

Huh. Podcasts are starting to become TV shows. So far I've noticed Lore and Homecoming are on Amazon Prime. Dirty John is coming out as a mini series on Bravo.

No Such Thing As A Fish has a TV show as well (No Such Thing as the News), but the podcast was previously a spin-off of QI.

Incidentally, they're part of a UK podcast tradition of removing the older episodes from the feed so that they're then only available to purchase. Pretty much the reverse of podcasts being what radio shows had as an extra that they didn't commercialize, beyond using the podcast as a form of advertisement in itself.

Ricky Gervais was the first one I can remember doing it.

The Ricky Gervais TV Show (2010 - 2012) was just an animated version of the Ricky Gervais Podcast (Using the same audio), which itself was a spin off from the Ricky Gervais Radio show
