Some sounds are just very difficult to pronounce, depending on your native language. Many languages have sounds that many others don’t. Some English speakers cannot even make the sounds in Spanish, and vice versa. There’s no way the average American is going to come close to pronouncing Chinese names correctly.

Anyone can learn to pronounce anything correctly, but it requires a lot of work with a good voice coach.
