Things can change quickly with a high scoring younger (than 97) celebrity.

Sure, but we are likely to see only one or two more deaths, so that early lead could well be unbeatable.

Nah people are dying everyday. That score could be beat on the last day with the right passing.

Your top pick is worth 70 points (50+20 Bonus Points). For Morvis13 it's -13 points. He'd go from 30 Bonus points to 15 and only score 2 for picking that celebrity 49th.

That's enough to change positions dramatically.

No, I get the math. I put Ozzy at #1 for that reason, specifically. It's more a matter of the tiny fraction of famous people who are on our list. Based on past years we're only likely to have 3 or 4 total hits on our list. For example, Tim Conway just packed it in - no points.

...I'm not really hoping these people die. I just like dark humour. OTOH dark humour is like healthcare in the US: not everyone gets it.

Valerie Harper dead at 80

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/08/30/entertainment/valerie-harper-obituary/index.html

We all had her very low on our lists:
Morvis13 gets top score again with 7.

I'll update the scores very soon
