Last year was my serious platformer addiction, but the two additions from this year have some of the best soundtracks I've ever heard.

I think Sqauresoft had some of the best game music of the 16 bit era.  These are my personal favorite though:

Way back in the day, the Mechwarrior 2 soundtrack was awesome. It was encoded as CD audio tracks on the disk, so as long as you skipped Track 1, you could play it in a regular CD player. Of course, I ripped it into iTunes.
