Undone - Amazon Original Show

First off, I just want to say that I'd easily recommend this show to anyone as it is marvelously well made in just about every regard.  As always, there are certainly things to nitpick but this show really stands above even today's high bar.  The reason I'm starting a new thread though, and not just rating it on another thread, is because there is one element of this series that I find extremely problematic and I really am not quite sure how to think about it.  Unfortunately, there is absolutely no way to talk about this without major spoilers so read the spoilered bits at your own risk.  I will say that the show is only 8, 25ish minute episodes so it's easy to get through if the trailer intrigues you and you want to watch it and come back.  If you're too curious to wait, I'll also say I saw the spoilers coming a few episodes before so it may not be the biggest mystery to you when you watch it, though the journey to get there was worth it.  At any rate:

We watched the first two episodes. I have some issues with the rotoscoping that bothered me a bit. Its certainly not as good as Bashki.

I’m interested enough to watch some more. I ignored your spoilers till I get a better idea of what is happening.

I felt the acting was pretty good.

I got pretty used to the rotoscoping. It's not trying to be photo real all the time, but the style really plays well into the reality-bending nature of the premise so I think it adds far more than it distracts from.

That said, I loved Bakshi's rotoscoping films.

There is something about roto-scoping that really works for film/tv where reality is questionable.  What was that movie about drug addiction based on a Philip K Dick book?
