Newspaper comics you follow
« on: September 02, 2019, 01:49:32 PM »
Dick Tracy has gotten really good lately, what with the incorporation of the Annie characters and cameos from other strips, most recently Friday Foster this week.
Judge Parker has been a long strange and disastrous ride for the main characters-you wonder how much bad luck the main characters can have before something even halfway decent is thrown their way.
I have been following Safe Havens since the main cast was in diapers. The stories almost never repeat themselves, and the character development is constant.
My favorite has to be The Phantom, now that there is competition between his two offspring as to who will be the successor.

You?
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

I used to like The Phantom and Hagar the Horrible.
Andy Cap was funny.
Garth was kind of cool but impossible to follow.
I was quite partial to The Perils of Page 3s Pauline as well because....well, it had tits in it.

"Chickweed Lane" is like sexist soft porn on the comics page. I'm surprised any newspaper still runs it.

"Doonesbury" is Sunday only, now, I wonder if Trudeau will ever go back to daily strips.

I think people would rather see reruns of "The Far Side" than "Family Circle"
and Donald Trump is President of the United States.
