Wait, do you mean the evil ads, or all ads in general?

And I suppose, technically, advertising creationist propaganda on the Skeptic's Guide isn't doing them a lick of good.

Is there any procedure to follow when you click?   Can I just click, close, click, close, click, close, contemplate the fact that I have WAY too much time on my hands, click, close?  Or do I have to interact with the site that it sends me to?

I dont know the policy that google has regarding multiple clicks.  They could track your IP and block what would seem like click spamming.  I bet they are looking for thousands of clicks in a row...not what you would do...unless you REALLY have nothing to do.  So please do click for us.

The thing that bothers me most about the ads are what they indicate about the larger Creationism/Evolution debate:

The Creationists have money.

We don't see ads for Evolution 101 or Talk Origins because those guys don't have the money to spend on ads. The Creationists have won lots of arguments by simply presenting their viewpoint in the abscence of any counter argument. If I had the million bucks to become the Mack Daddy of Skepticism, I would love to spend it on ads for the NESS!

I'd need more than $1 million, but I'd turn the podcast into a weekly TV show. :)

Of course.  Churches have money because of contributions.

It must be easier for churches to receive contributions than skeptical groups.

The answer's obvious and simple.  Someone needs to demonstrate to Randi that the paranormal exists, win his million dollars, and use that to fund the NESS in their efforts to spread science and rationality.

Oh, wait.....
