I'm pretty happy with it, a bit of scrap maple burl on a walnut base. Working on a few cool cutting boards and other misc stuff right now.

Both awesome. I wonder what the right order is when building a workshop... do you get a table saw first? Or just big benches and a mitre saw... I'll never be able to afford a giant planer but I can build a work-round with a router like the guy from Parks and Rec did.
Did your family do woodworking either of you? It's not an easy thing to jump right into.
