How to Change minds.

Basically, just tell them that there in group believes something and they will agree to it even if they didn't 5 minutes before.

In our experiment, we first gave false-feedback about their choices, but this time concerning actual political questions (e.g., climate taxes on consumer goods). Participants were then asked to state their views a second time that same day, and again one week later. The results were striking.  Participants’ responses were shifted considerably in the direction of the manipulation. For instance, those who originally had favoured higher taxes were more likely to be undecided or even opposed to it.

As this supports my pre-existing beliefs it must be true.

I think I see a problem with some of this.
I don't understand some things, but at least I know I don't know

As a skeptic, I think it is important to ask oneself does this mind really need to be changed? There are times when you should try to change someone's mind on a subject - when their belief in something is actively causing harm, and there are times when you probably don't need to. Attempting to change a mind that doesn't need to be changed just makes one look like an asshole.
